Mobile App: Unified Experience

In the process of consolidating its diverse brands into a cohesive entity, Employbridge is actively merging them into a singular brand – Employbridge. Leading this endeavor is Employbridge’s marketing team, overseeing the brand unification process and augmenting the company’s overall corporate brand presence.

As part of this unification initiative, the Employbridge Mobile App is undergoing a transformation. Currently, there are multiple mobile apps under the Employbridge name, but now a single mobile app is being launched to unify the mobile app experience.

Unified Web Experience Initiative

The journey towards a unified web experience commenced with a comprehensive overhaul and redesign of our existing platform, tailored to better cater to our users. Employbridge has enlisted the expertise of a third-party contractor for the website redesign, with the aim of meeting the deadline by the end of Q1 2024.

Styling and Guidelines

Our collaboration with the third-party contractor has laid the groundwork for design styling and guidelines essential for shaping our unified web experience. Through their expertise, we’ve not only established a solid foundation but also gained valuable insights into creating a cohesive and user-centric digital environment. This framework provided by the contractor serves as a guiding beacon as we navigate the complexities of our unified web experience, ensuring consistency and excellence in our design approach.

Current State of the Mobile App

In pursuit of a unified web experience, efforts extended to the mobile app. With the design styling in place, we conducted a thorough evaluation of our existing mobile apps. Several of our mobile apps shared a common experience with minor distinctions in color and branding. Following this assessment, we proceeded to outline, map, and categorize the diverse experiences across our mobile apps.

Unifying Web and Mobile App Experience

We initiated the redesign of the mobile app experience, adhering to the provided design styling and guidelines. Since there were no existing mobile app guidelines, we utilized the style guide as a reference. In my role as the main Product Designer for the mobile app team, I took the lead in creating a cohesive mobile app experience by following the established style guide and incorporating best mobile app practices. Implementing this unified experience posed challenges, as it involved revamping the current design of the mobile apps and applying the brand-new styling, along with integrating best mobile app practices. I collaborated closely with the mobile app developers to ensure the delivery of the optimal mobile app experience.
